I love this program! What a great way to preview authors, or enjoy your current favorite writers working inside, or outside, their usual genres. For me, this is a fun way to stay connected with readers between full-length releases. Writing the shorts keeps me sane when it feels like I’ll

New Amazon Short: A Lethal Silence

Hello again!

It’s a pleasure to announce the latest 2096 adventure, A Lethal Silence.

This story fits in between Justice Incarnate and Invasion of Justice, and features Nathan Burkhardt, brother of one of the lead characters of Invasion.

I wrote it to get to know Nathan better and had a blast tossing him into some unpredictable situations that challenged his telekinetic and telepathic skills.

The first extra-curricular adventure in 2096, Paradise Paradox, became an Editor’s Pick in the Amazon Shorts program! Here’s hoping the next one, A Lethal Silence, merits the same attention.

Paradise Paradox is more of an extra epilogue starring the main Justice Incarnate characters - on a vacation that takes a decidedly business-like turn for the security expert and former police chief.

In A Lethal Silence, you get your first good look at Nathan Burkhardt, a great hero with a great full-length adventure in progress on my computer.

If you haven’t met any of my edgy characters from 2096, these shorts are a great glimpse into a future where caffeine, sugar and nicotine are controlled substances in an effort to promote healthier Americans.
