Welcome to my photo essay of adventures in decorating. Not just any decorating, but decorating for the sole purpose of making my sweet greyhound Boo comfortable in my office. Lately she paces up and down the hall and whines when I’m working in the office. Yes, I’ve tried dog beds and several blankies, but Boo’s a furniture kind of queen.
Since I have a laptop and an alphasmart, I usually spend a great deal of time writing ‘around the house’, but since the re-do the office is so nice and comfortable, that’s where I’d like to be more often. So I went on a quest for the chaise that Boo could stretch out on…
The first chaise was a bust – wouldn’t be assembled – so I had to return it…and got this instead:

Of course, Boo hasn’t yet decided she approves of this loving effort just for her. She will hang out with me, if I’m sitting on the chaise, but she hasn’t hopped up on her own, even after a serious cookie-fest to get her adapted.
Oh, well. I write romance, so I’m naturally hopeful we’ll have a happy ending and she’ll soon snuggle on the chaise while I write and edit in my office.
