Today is a HUGE day for thriller and suspense fans – especially for the devoted fans of the stunning FACES OF EVIL series by Debra Webb!
To celebrate the VICIOUS release day, I’m giving a $10 Amazon gift card to one lucky winner, just leave a comment here on this post for your entry!
For weeks now, okay, since we all read the last page of RUTHLESS (Faces of Evil, book 6) we have been waiting impatiently for VICIOUS (Faces of Evil, book 7).
Thank goodness Deb helped us through the desperate withdrawal by sharing excerpts of VICIOUS in her Weekly Briefings on the website. It seems as though the most diabolically evil villain on the planet, Eric Spears, is only getting warmed up. I shudder to think what he has in mind for Jess and Dan as the stakes continue to rise with every book.
Fortunately, I can tuck myself into a well-lit corner and read VICIOUS!
And you can too – if you didn’t pre-order your ebook or paperback, hurry over and grab your preferred format right NOW!
About VICIOUS: Book 7 in the Faces of Evil series.
Serial killer Eric Spears is far from done. He has chosen his next victim and Deputy Chief Jess Harris knows it’s only a matter of time until he comes for her.
The murders are vicious, the killer relentless. Has Birmingham’s major crimes team run into its most baffling and deadly case yet? Don’t miss the next thrilling installment of the Faces of Evil!
Reviewers are celebrating:
“So many twists and turns!! Another great story in the faces Of Evil series!” 5 stars, Diane S, Goodreads review
“Oh my word, the Faces of Evil just keep getting more evil. Spears is closer than ever and everyone is trying to protect Jess and she is trying to protect everyone else in her life.” 5 stars, Tracey B, Goodreads review
“I was engrossed from the very first page. Another roller coaster from start to finish. My favorite part of this series is Debra Webb’s ability to continue the epic storyline of the serial killer Spears while Jess and Dan try living and working on everyday cases.” 5 stars, Maureen D, Goodreads review
Each of these wickedly fast-paced books stand alone, but I’m a reader who loves to start a series at the beginning. If you’re the same way, pick up OBSESSION and the rest of the series in reading order is IMPULSE, POWER, RAGE, REVENGE, and RUTHLESS. Fair warning, once you start you’ll be as addicted to this daring series as the rest of us!
Remember to leave a comment here to be entered for the $10 Amazon gift card! The lucky winner will be announced tomorrow! Update 11/26: Congratulations to Beverly, winner of this giveaway!
Live the adventure!
The series is fantastic. Love, love the story between Jess and Dan!
Me too, Sanat! Their relationship is so complex. 🙂
Loved the post and can’t wait to read the book. Sounds like a great one!!!!
You won’t be disappointed. If you’re a suspense or thriller fan, this series will blow you away!
I have to admit after reading the series I look at people on the street and wonder if there were capable of something like in Deb’s books. One doesn’t know what that tipping point is, and it’s so delicious to see how Deb unveils the story.
I know just what you mean, SaraMarie! I’ve told my husband after reaching the end of every book that I’m never going to Birmingham – no matter that Jess and Dan always close the case. LOL
awesome ness ty for the chance cant wiat to readthis installment
You’re welcome, Beverly! Good luck in the giveaway – this book (and the series) is amazing!
I love this series! I can’t wait for the next installment.
I know what you mean, Toni! 🙂
Love to start reading the series
Soon, you’ll be as addicted as the rest of us, Heather. 😉
I love this series and cannot wait to read Vicious. The Faces of Evil series is the perfect balance of Romance and Suspense. You will definitely love the recurring characters and their stories, especially former and current lovers, Jess and Dan!”
If any of you have not read this series, I guarantee that once you read Vicious you will go back and read the first six books of this great series!
You are so right, Marijane! And they’ll want the prequel novella, SILENCE too. Man I loved that one. Deb knows how to pack a punch with her stories.
ok I’m half way through Vicious….AHHHHHHHHHH…..I’ve started getting mad at my husband and work for interupting my reading!!!! When is Jess going to finally be able to tell Dan about the baby lol stupid cell phones….that’s why i “accidently” forget mine from time to time…like today lol
Bwahahahaha!
I have loved this series, plus I can’t wait until the next books come out. If you love a good series than you need to read this one. Because Debra Webb the author has her reader in mind, she wants you to be excited to read her written words, as they come alive on the pages of her books. She will keep you captive from the beginning of the story until the last page of the book.
You are absolutely right about Deb keeping her reader in mind as she writes, Gail. It’s one of the things that makes her such a master storyteller and so popular throughout her career. <3
This is the best series ever. Start at 1 and go thru them. You will not be sorry!!!!
Vicki there are times I’d like to go back and re-read from book 1, then I’m not sure my heart could take it, even knowing the progress Jess and Dan have made. 😉
Waiting with baited breath for Vile now.
You and me both, Tracey! 🙂
Regan,
I am so ready to get off of work and to be able to start reading Vicious. I do have the jump start of having read the preview of the chapters Debra put up for us on the Weekly Briefing but they are not enough.. just afew more hours and I have all day tomorrow off!

Great post love Deb and Regan 🙂 just saying 🙂
Aww, thanks Danielle! ♥
Love this series. The action just keeps me glued to the pages.
Me too, Judi. 🙂
Hmmm, definitely new series to try. What/where is the weekly briefing?
The Weekly Briefing is Deb’s weekly update about books and such over at her Faces of Evil website: http://www.thefacesofevil.com and you can find the link to weekly briefings here, just scroll through the back lists of posts for the Vicious excerpts (and more). http://www.thefacesofevil.com/category/weekly-briefing/
A great series 🙂
I agree 100%, eli!
I love thrillers; authors who can control the elements of romantic suspense and pull everything off truly amaze me. I’ve always hated romance for the sake of romance, but some authors can manage several plot elements simultaneously. Regan Black and Debra Webb are two of those authors.
