Question: Regan, why the fascination with sourdough?
Answer: Because it’s yummy and versatile and… well I could go on for days about all the obvious reasons to love sourdough.
Really, it boils down to another way to be creative, a way to test what I know and learn something new through experimentation – with tasty results (usually). Keeping up with my sourdough starter means taking a fun break from a week of writing. (When I’m drafting a novel, I usually write 6 days a week).
Playing with sourdough starter and recipes is also about doing something thoughtful and caring for my husband, which is why so many of my sourdough recipes involve blueberries (his favorite).
