Gamble and Swann usually work behind the scenes of the Guardian Agency, a private security firm they manage for their first and most important client – who remains anonymous.
When I started bridging Guardian Agency books with the Elle James Brotherhood Protectors world, I didn’t anticipate writing adventures for the attorneys who managed everything from recruitment to case assingments.
And then it just had to happen – I finally had a picture of Swann in my head. Not just the type of character he was, but the type of man.
Taking Swann back to his home town in Kansas from the posh Chicago life he’d built with Gamble was so much fun for me. I was raised in the midwest and it’s always a pleasure to revisit what I love most about the area.
