Tiramisu Dip

Full disclosure, I hadn’t made this in years! But when I was searching for something sweet and yummy for our (easy going, very quiet) Valentine’s Day, I re-discovered this recipe. It was one of those things we made ages ago when having small kids meant stay at home dates, and again when the kids were away at college.

Ingredients

1 cup cold heavy whipping cream

1 tablespoon espresso powder

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

8 ounces mascarpone cheese

1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Ladyfingers, vanilla wafers, or fruit for dipping

Directions

Stir cream and espresso powder together in a bowl until dissolved.

In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add mascarpone cheese and beat until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; beat on low speed until mixed.

Add espresso mixture and increase speed to high and beat until soft peaks form – do not over beat.

Place in a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. For serving, sprinkle with cocoa powder (a small fine-mesh strainer works great).

Serve with ladyfingers, vanilla wafers, or fruit.

Enjoy!
