For those of you who know me, you realize this is a post about my attempts to play alpha female on my adventures within the world of technology!
For those of you who don’t know me yet, suffice it to say I’ll read the directions for how to build a roll top desk, but I can’t stop rolling my eyes long enough to get through the directions for a graphics program.
But I have prevailed!
Like any alpha female I’d feature in my short stories or novels, I gripped my determination in both hands and told myself I was smart enough to get it right.
It probably took longer than it should have, but staying true to the alpha female in all of us, I found my way through a maze of clip art and moody text boxes, fonts with attitude and crop selections to come up with this (admittedly) simple cover for my Kindle release of From the Ashes.
It’s a novella featuring the epitome of alpha females: Jaden Michaels as she works through one of her past lives at the time of the great Chicago Fire.
(Hmmm. Do you think Mrs. O’Leary’s cow is the only alpha female cow in recorded history?)
Anyway, From the Ashes had been included in the anthology, Heat of the Moment, which recently went out of print. While that’s a shame, I’m still very happy to send From the Ashes out into the world on a solo voyage.
From one alpha female to all those who like to read alpha females,
Live the adventure!
