April already!?! Hard to believe the first quarter of the 2016 is behind us. Almost equally impossible is that we are only seven short weeks away from our oldest graduating from college with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees! (Consider this fair warning that May’s posts will be bursting with parental pride).
After completing the latest manuscript and a new proposal, my husband and I spent a few afternoons cleaning up the butterfly garden (aka the greyhound infield). Below is a picture of the first blooms on the clematis vine. New plants are in as well and I’ll share those pictures as they fill in.
Top 5 Things I’m Looking Forward To In April! (in no particular order)
1) Diving into another writing adventure for the next books in Knight Traveler series.
2) Connecting with more people on the Periscope app. I’ve been sharing a daily quote to inspire writers each morning and it’s been a lot of fun listening to other broadcasters who inspire me. It’s a great way to stay motivated.
3) Quidditch World Cup in Columbia, SC! (Yes, it’s real. No, they don’t fly. Yes, it is seriously fun!!)
4) Developing a new non-fiction project with the fabulous Cynthia Bazin of SmartChic.me
5) The new Jungle Book movie! This was one of my favorite stories when I was a little girl and I’m excited about the new adaptation.
Have you picked up your copies of Gunning For The Groom and Heavy Artillery Husband yet? Debra Webb and I so happy to hear readers are enjoying these stories as much as we enjoyed writing them. You can read an excerpt of Gunning for the Groom here or read an excerpt from Heavy Artillery Husband here.
