Question: What do you want for Christmas?
Answer: World peace with a hefty dose of common sense and kindness for everyone.
If only it was as easy as Santa pulling that out of his bag of gifts.
I did actually make a Christmas wish list this year, mainly because these last few weeks have completely overwhelmed me. It’s a combination of challenges and celebratory moments amid a pandemic… but as we all know, the fallout is real.
I also made the list because it helped me focus on what I do have.
Our family enjoys the process of shopping and exchanging gifts and since this year will be so different, I took the time to really think about what would make Christmas feel special to me.
My husband and children are my treasures every day and I’m thankful for their continued support and love and encouragement.
During the holidays I believe in the extra dose of magic in the air and this year, more than any other, I need that burst of merriment that –for me– only comes with taking the time to truly pause and soak in the joy-filled, silly, and wonderful traditions we share.
So what do I want? That priceless time to chat and rest and enjoy the people who make my life amazing no matter what’s going on.
Wishing you all a healthy, happy, and joyful holiday season!
Live the adventure!
