My hopes for a relatively uneventful bathroom remodel were dashed when we encountered a significant issue with a leaky skylight. You probably won’t be shocked to learn that roof trouble has delayed the completion and posed far too many unpleasant distractions from my summer deadlines. I’m making progress, but it isn’t always pretty. LOL On the flip side, I’m learning a great deal about roofing and skylight installation.
So here are the Top 5 Things I’m looking forward to in August, in no particular order:
1) My first online read at Harlequin.com! This is one of those surreal moments I envisioned waay back at the beginning of my romance-writing career. It’s a delight to bring you SPECIAL FORCES BLIND DATE, a supsenseful, romantic story delivered one chapter at a time, beginning on August 6th.
2) Moving our daughter into her first real apartment for her first permanent job! After several excellent, short term internships, we are thrilled that she’s found a position that she is eager to dive into. Such an exciting time of life.
3) The US Open tennis tournament! Yes, just as I’m wrapping up the August deadlines, I’ll get a dose of inspiration from watching tennis. Some day I hope to make that tournament in person!
4) The Addicted to Danger sampler! This is a first-chapter collection from twenty-four of the authors in the Addicted to Danger Facebook group. Currently free at B&N and Kobo and though it’s listed at $0.99 at Amazon it should eventually be free there as well (with the price match feature). If you haven’t joined us yet, the group on Facebook is a wonderful, fun place to connect with some of the leading romantic suspense authors around!
5) Christopher Robin! I can’t wait to see this movie version of a family favorite and beloved character.
