Happy December! 2018 has been quite a year for us around here (aren’t they all?) From a serious health scare, to a remodeling project that was anything but simple, to a blissfully relaxed holiday season we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for.
This month I’m pleased to say my long-fractured focus has returned and I’m looking forward to several things in the month ahead!
My Top 5 for December (in no particular order):
1) Wonderful writing time! After Thanksgiving, I took a step back, assessed and treated myself to what turned out to be an effective impromptu learn-from-home writitng workshop. Applying what I learned became an ah-ha! moment and finally I am loving my writing time again!
2) Games, conversation, movies, and cooking with the kids. We’re anticipating a fabulous, relaxed Christmas and New Year’s as both kids have an extended break from school and work.
3) Welcoming a new dog to the family! Our daughter will be introducing us to her new service dog over the holidays. I can’t wait to see what Bandit thinks of this. (He will be excited and happy, no worries. And I’ll take plenty of pictures).
4) Preparing for the release of A SOLDIER’S HONOR (coming January 1 from Harlequin Romantic Suspense) I cannot wait for readers to meet Matt Riley and his family! (You can catch an excerpt here!)
5) Planning 2019! My new planner arrived and I’m eager to spend some time diving deep and setting goals for 2019 as soon as I wrap up my current manuscript.
Live the adventure!
