Flashback Friday time! New releases are fabulous and I love creating new characters and bringing new stories to readers, but sometimes it’s fun to take a look back and revisit an older title.
Safe In His Sight debuted in September of 2016!
Wow – it’s hard to believe it’s been four years! This was my first book with Harlequin Romantic Suspense and the characters are still dear to me.
Safe In His Sight launched the Escape Club Heroes mini-series set in Philadelphia, PA. The Escape Club is a (ficitonal) bar owned by a newly-retired police officer with a passion for great music and an ongoing commitment to his community.
It was a joy to create a full cast of heroes and heroines in this world, from firefighters to paramedics to lawyers dealing with shocking threats and mysteries while they search for a happy ever after.
Although my family lived in Philly for a short time, I was too little to remember anything other than the stories my parents told me. But when our son’s college tours took us back, something clicked for me and I knew I wanted to use it as a setting. So far it’s the backdrop for four novels: Safe In His Sight, A Stranger She Can Trust, Protecting Her Secret Son, and Braving The Heat.
Three short stories are also available in this world: the Escape Club prequel along with Escape Club: Justice and Escape Club: Sabotage.
