July is the height of summer and my goodness, the weather here in South Carolina is driving the point home in style. With humidity and heat and sunshine and sudden afternoon rain showers, Bandit and I are perfecting the art of the short morning romp and brief periscope.tv broadcasts. Our family enjoyed an awesome laid back Fourth of July, packing it with as much delicious food and relaxation as we could. And of course Wimbledon!

Top 5 Things I’m Looking Forward To In July! (in no particular order)

1) The conclusion of Wimbledon. I’m a serious tennis fan, despite my utter lack of skill and grace when I pick up a racket. I love to cheer for the champions as well as the upstarts. Something about the mental fortitude in this very individual sport speaks to me. Add in the tradition and beauty of the grass court game and I adjust my entire schedule.

2) Crafting more books for readers. An Heirloom Amber, third in the Knight Traveler series released in June and resonated with fans of these time-travel adventures and that’s always an amazing feeling. (Pssst, the cover art for the next Knight Traveler novel will be released to my Join the Adventure newsletter subscribers later this month!)

3) My birthday! That means an extra-fun giveaway for my newseltter subscribers plus my entire family will be able to be here to celebrate and that’s all kinds of wonderful.

4) The new Ghostbuster movie. Why? Because… Chris Hemsworth… and the amazing comedic talent of the rest of the cast too. 😉

5) The July 11 release of Escape Club -an all new prequel short story that gives readers a backstage pass to Grant Sullivan and how he established the Philly nightclub that will become a showcase for local bands, an anchor point for first responders, and a safe haven for the community.  You can pre-order your copy today or read more about the story and the series here.
