For those of you keeping up with the spice finch tail watch – 1 week after the ‘abduction’ the finch is doing well, but no signs of new tail feathers yet. And no, I never have figured out how the cats got the bird out of a locked cage. (for the full story, there’s a note on my facebook).
I’m all over the internet today. At Echelon Shorts I’m blogging about the best use of lemons and giving lucky readers a peek at my psyche. But here at ‘home’ it’s all about the greyhounds on Saturdays.
The long days of summer are perfect for spending all kinds of time with your greyhound outside. Ours love to romp, chase tennis balls and bark at the sprinkler.
If you’re thinking you might want to adopt a greyhound, you should check out AdoptAGreyhoundGuide.com for some answers to frequently asked questions about retired greyhounds and greyhound adoption.
In case you haven’t heard, I put this guide together to help greyhound adoption and rescue groups as well as help more greyhounds find happy forever homes off the track.
What quirky things have our greyhounds done this week? Well, Boo has developed super hearing: never a fan of thunder and storms, she now goes into her ‘safety cave’ (the half bath) several minutes before any of us hear the first rumble.
Brody has decided not to drink alone – he now whines until I get up (under the assumption he has to go out) only to have him stop at the water bowl and do a fine impersonation of a camel.
Bandit continues to exhibit his vast intelligence by learning just when to apply his most adorable face (usually right after he’s jumped up onto the bed in the mornings).
Live the greyhound adventure!
