Is there someone in your life (maybe even YOU) who loves to read? Someone who never leaves home without their book or ereader?
What about someone who prefers to escape into a fantasy world or take an adventure into space or ride that wacky roller coaster of falling in love. Maybe even someone who’d rather be with a book than people?
Personally, I’ve been accused of enjoying books more than people — whether I’m writing or reading– and here is a fast list of gifts I’d love to unwrap this holiday season:
1 – E-reader! It’s an obvious choice because the booklover in your life can take their library with them whenever they must depart their favorite reading spot. I do most of my reading on my kindle and the app on my cell phone.
There are several great brands from Amazon’s kindle to Kobo’s latest release or the latest app on a tablet or mobile phone.
2 – Reading light! Just in case your favorite reader likes to tuck into bed with the current paperback bestseller and read into the wee hours of the night. You can find these just about anywhere, including this neck style and this amber option that clips to the book.
3 – Book Beau book bean! The book beau is a booklover’s best friend they haven’t met yet. No matter how your reader enjoys their books, a reading pillow is a delight! I use mine all the time (sometimes even for crocheting) and I have no idea how I survived without it.
4 – Personalized bookmarks! If your favorite reader is anything like me, or the many readers I know, sometimes there are multiple books in progress. A personalized bookmark, or set of bookmarks, make a great gift! These bookcorners are amazing! A quick search for “bookmarks” or “bookmark corners” on etsy will connect you with talented vendors ready to create a special gift specifically for your favorite reader.
5 – Library card! Make sure your favorite reader has a library card so they can indulge all year long by chekcing out paperback/hardcover books and/or ebooks!
Bonus suggestion! A gift card to your booklovers bookshop of choice. Whether that’s an independent bookshop in your area, a big box store, or an online option, your favorite reader will appreciate having book money!
