He might not have been a Special Forces soldier, but Cade Conner knows how to fight. And Peyton is a woman worth fighting for.

Sometimes the deepest scars are the ones that can’t be seen.

Single mom Peyton Ward works three jobs to make ends meet. At Linear Tactical she’s surrounded by heroes on a regular basis…but none of them are hers. She thought she’d found one in Linear’s silent partner, and country music superstar, Cade Conner.

She was wrong.

Unintended wounds still cut as deep.

Cade may not work day to day operations at Linear, but he takes the mission of the company he helped create—teaching survival intelligence and self-defense skills to the people who need them most—seriously. And finding out he’s wounded Peyton in the worst way possible weighs on him.

So when danger on two separate fronts closes in on her, he will damn well be by her side. Making sure they survive so he can right his personal wrongs.

You can find your copy of ECHO today in ebook and paperback at Amazon or your favorite retailer.

Behind the Scenes of ECHO:

Thanks so much for inviting me to share, Regan! I’m so excited about the release of ECHO, my stand-alone romantic suspense that’s part of the Linear Tactical series.

Writing ECHO was super interesting for me in a couple of different ways. It’s partially based on the very first novel I ever wrote (that I titled Unbreak My Heart). I loved that book and the emotion and danger involved, but never published it. Something about it just didn’t work. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the problem wasn’t with the writing or the characters, the problem was that this story belonged to someone else: Peyton and Cade!

So I’m thrilled to finally be able to offer it to readers now, nearly eight years later, the way it was always meant to be.

ECHO was also interesting for me as a writer because it involved a trope I don’t normally delve into: secret baby. I’ve never been particularly drawn to those types of stories, but this book put such a big twist on it, I couldn’t resist.

Ultimately, the reason I’m so enthusiastic about ECHO is because of the message behind it: true love always finds a way. Some couples are meant to be together and Peyton and Cade are one of those. Writing them, even with the pain they went through, was a joy. I hope you’ll check it out.
